The first post....

Its starting to feel less like winter here in the Northeast. At least it's raining, not snowing. We've had our share of snow this year.
I'm starting a blog as a way to share thoughts and ideas and daily occurances. I don't aim to be famous like The Yarn Harlot or Dawn Meehan of "Because I said so" fame. Just kind of an online diary - isn't that what a blog is for?
My interests, which hopefully correspond to many others, are: gardening - specifically growing roses, knitting, spinning yarn, golden retrievers and surviving raising 2 teenaged girls.
Ok, the gardening and knitting I do for fun.
My real "job" is as an artist. Some would say that this is not a job....well, maybe it really isn't. Maybe in some ways it's a dream come true.
